It's the same story every time we want to go out. One of us wants cocktails. One wants somewhere with great music. The other wants something different. In the past, we would have debated endlessly on where to go. 

A recent conversation sparked our curiosity about what different people's opinions are on the characteristics of their ideal bar.

• Atmosphere, music, buzz.
• Luxury, a friendly atmosphere, music I can dance to.
• Somewhere vibrant, accommodating, with a great drinks selection.
